Weekend Brockton Fire Determined to be Arson

Investigators are now asking the public to help identify who started the fire.

BROCKTON, MA - Fire officials have determined that a blaze at a vacant apartment building on Enterprise Street was caused by arson.

The announcement was made in a joint statement late Tuesday afternoon by Acting Massachusetts State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey and Brockton Fire Chief Michael F. Williams, according to the Enterprise.

Saturday night, flames ripped through the three-story building in a matter of minutes.

Investigators are now asking the public to help identify who started the fire. Anyone with information is asked to call the Arson Hotline at 800-682-9229.
