Whitman Man Hit By Car, Seriously Injured In East Bridgewater

The victim was originally brought to South Shore Hospital, but was then taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital​ because of serious injuries.

EAST BRIDGEWATER, MA — A Whitman man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car on Saturday night.

At 8:37 p.m., police arrived to a man on the ground in the middle of Harvard Street. The victim, a 66-year-old Whitman resident, was originally taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, but later had to be brought to Brigham and Women's Hospital because of the seriousness of his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Altima, was a 47-year-old woman from West Bridgewater. She remained at the crash site, police said.
