BROOKLINE, MA – Two students at Brookline High School have been named Siemens Competition semifinalists this year.
Makena Binker Cosen and Amir Siraj are among 19 Massachusetts students to receive the honor. The competition is the nation's premier math, science and technology contest for high school students, awarding college scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 yearly.
Students may submit individual and team research projects to regional and national levels of competition; this year, of the more than 1600 projects submitted, 498 students have been selected as semifinalists.
