2 Hospitalized In Brookline Police Officer-Involved Crash

BROOKLINE, MA — A Brookline police officer and the driver of another vehicle were both brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after an officer-involved crash early Monday morning, according to Brookline police.

Reports said the crash happened on Hammond Street at about 5 a.m.

Brookline police told Patch Monday afternoon that the officer was alert and conscious, but it was not known whether he would be released on Monday or kept in the hospital overnight. Police said they did not have an update on the other driver involved in the crash.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.

WFXT-TV reported the police cruiser wound up crashing through a fence and the airbag of the cruiser was deployed.
