Attempted Robbery Outside Of KooKoo Cafe: Brookline Arrest Logs
An 18-year-old man and a teen-aged girl were arrested for attempting to steal a purse from a woman outside of KooKoo Cafe.

Sunday, Oct. 22
Attempted purse snatch on Station Street: Andre Keele,18, homeless was arrested at 2:40 p.m. and charged with attempted robbery on Station Street. Around 12:42 p.m. someone called police to report two people had attempted to steal a woman's purse while she was sitting outside at KooKoo Cafe. A teen with purple hair and wearing a cardigan with pink stripes had walked by several times before grabbing a handle of a purse that was on the back of a chair. The owner of the purse grabbed the other handle and didn't let go, the purse actually broke and the girl, along with a man, later identified as Keele, ran off toward the Brookline Village T stop.
Police eventually found the man near One Brookline Place and the teen, nearby. Keele gave police the wrong name and then led them in a foot chase across traffic before being arrested for contributing To The Delinquency Of A Minor. Resisting Arrest, Carrying A Dangerous Weapon. He was also placed under arrest for straight Warrant out of Fall River District Court Docket for a bomb/Hijack Threat and Threat To Commit A Crime.

Drugs and a gun: Police arrested three men after they found Peter Mccoy, 28, of South Boston slumped in a car in a CVS Parking lot. It took police tapping on the window, rocking the car several times and eventually reaching down through the sun roof to tap Mccoy on the chest with a baton before he woke. The police report notes a number of drug-related items, including crystal meth was found in the car and a gun, which belonged to Kyle Gariepy,26, of Leominster was arrested and charged at 9:37 p.m. with Improper Storage of a Firearm, Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law, Trafficking Class "B" Drug (meth). The other man Keith Rands, 29, of JP, and Mccoy were charged with Trafficking and conspiracy to violate the drug law.
Thursday, Oct. 26
CVS shoplifting: Sarah Mercier, 40, of Boston was arrested at 12:52 p.m. and charged with shoplifting at the 294 Harvard St. CVS. Staff reported that a white woman with brown hair wearing a black coat and brown pants had been in the make up aisle for a long time when witnesses said they saw her shuffle items underneath her jacket. Police got to the store before she left the makeup aisle, questioned her, found $81 worth of make up on her and arrested her for shoplifting.

Federal Probation Violation: Andre Givens Jr., 29 of Brookline was arrested for violating probation.
