Blossom Bar Open In Brookline Village Sichuan Garden Space
Sichuan Garden just got a facelift.

BROOKLINE, MA — If you've been following along on social media and walking anywhere near the Village you may have seen the new look at the old Chinese restaurant across from Cutty's on Washington Street. Tonight the Blossom Bar opened its doors for a soft launch and tomorrow the cocktail bar will open to the general public, according to its Instagram account.
Lest you worry about your noodles and dumplings disappearing, have no fear: the son of the owner has simply transformed the traditional Sichuan food spot and added a trendy cocktail bar as he did in 2009 with another location.
The space will now include a new 10-seat bar inside Brookline’s Sichuan Garden that will serve as a sister bar to the Woburn location.

Yes, it looks like they will still have Dan Dan Noodles ($7.50), Kung Pao Chicken ($14.95) and Eggplant with spicy garlic sauce ($12.50).
The plan is for the space to be open from 4 p.m. until 12 a.m. to start. The Blossom Bar inside the Sichuan Garden (which was originally opened there in 1997) is the latest in a trendy overhaul of the Brookline Village area. The Magnolia Smokehouse recently did something similar by starting a speak easy in the basement of that pub.
