Brookline 2nd Most Educated Place in America: Study
Website NerdWallet examined degree holders in communities with more than 25,000 residents across the country.

BROOKLINE, MA – Brookline has been ranked the second most educated community in America, according to a recent study from website NerdWallet.
The study examined data on education levels of residents over 25 in more than 17,000 cities and towns in the country with populations of at least 25,000.
Based on the U.S. Census Bureau's 2014 American Community Survey, NerdWallet found that 83 percent of Brookline residents hold at least a bachelor's or associate degree, 52 percent have at least a master's and 14 percent hold doctorates.

Four Massachusetts communities cracked the top 10; Brookline is joined by Wellesley at no. 7, Newton at no. 9 and Lexington at no. 10.
