BROOKLINE, MA — Dramatic surveillance video showing two men accused of attempting to scale a South Brookline home while one was holding a semi-automatic pistol "with the intent to break into the home or maybe even something worse" was released by the Brookline Police Department on its social media account on Tuesday.

Brookline police said that the homeowner saw the scene unfolding on their own surveillance camera and called police.

"The second suspect was captured not long after by Officer Ryan Cabezas and Officer P'tah Johnson. It was then discovered that one of the suspects was in possession of a semi-automatic firearm."
