Brookline Booksmith Named 'Boston's Best Bookstore'

The literature purveyors were among Improper Bostonian's "Boston's Best."

Brookline, MA – Brookline Booksmith was named "Boston's Best Bookstore" in this year's "Boston's Best" from Improper Bostonian.

The beloved shop has been a Coolidge Corner staple for more than 50 years, frequently offering book clubs, author appearances and talks, readings and hidden gems on its shelves.

"The book clubs, small-press titles and award-winning kids section tell only part of the story at Coolidge Corner’s indie mainstay," Improper Bostonian writes. "The knowledgeable staffers here handwrite literary recommendations that adorn the bookshelves, and the visiting author series is bursting with talent—like Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk, who makes an appearance this month."
