Brookline Community Aging Network Events Now Through June
Topics for the events include issues between older adults and very old parents, caring for someone with Alzheimer's, and sex over 60.

BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline Community Aging Network (BrooklineCAN), which provides information to help residents remain engaged in the community and advocates to make the town an even better place to live for seniors, has released a list of events in April, May, and June.
The themes for the upcoming speaker series include issues between older adults and very old parents, caregiving triumphs and challenges of Alzheimer’s disease, and sex over 60.

Wednesday, April 27 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Goddard House and on Zoom
About the event: As life expectancy rates grow, so does our prospect of caring for a parent in our own ‘golden years'. Now, hear the fascinating results of a Boston-based study providing
new insights about the complicated relationships of older adult children (aged 65+)
and their very old parents (aged 90+).

Let’s Get Physical: Biopsychosocial Aspects of Sexuality and Aging
Wednesday, June 15, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Brookline Senior Center and on Zoom
About the event: While sex at an older age exists, the human body doesn’t function the same way it did when we were younger. With frank discussion, Dr. Fleishman will cover the biological, medical, and psychosocial parts of getting physical.
