Brookline Country Club Fundraiser Passes $1 Million in 17th Year
At this year's golf tournament, The Country Club also surpassed $500,000 in grant money for Brookline youth programs.

BROOKLINE, MA – The Country Club in Brookline surpassed two milestones at its golf tournament this year, raising the value of its charity fund to more than $1 million and awarding more than $500,000 in grants to local non-profits in 17 years.
At the tournament, held August 4, the club raised more than $66,000; in nearly two decades, it has awarded 86 grants totaling approximately $560,000 to benefit the youth in Brookline.
In 1999, the club collaborated with the Town of Brookline and the Brookline Community Foundation to establish the Brookline Youth Fund. The Country Club contributed an original gift of $500,000 from proceeds raised during the 33rd Ryder Cup.

The Brookline Youth Fund provides support for at-risk and low-income youth in the town and administers grants for a wide range of programs and services, including art, music, cultural and educational programs, internships, scholarships and social services.
Through the fund and support from the BCF, $50,000 was awarded this year to Brookline Mobilization; Brookline Extended Day Advisory Committee; Brookline Interactive Group; Brookline Recreation Department; Emerald Necklace Conservancy; Muddy River Boosters, Inc.; and The City School.
