BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline first responders assisted with a home birth near Washington Square last week after a local woman suddenly entered active labor faster than planned.

On August 18 just after 7 a.m., Arielle Chernin began getting severe contractions and her husband Kyle Williams, called 911, reported ABC News. Brookline police and EMTs responded to the home immediately and were told by Fallon Ambulance that the safest plan was to prepare for home delivery.

Less than half an hour later, Regan Williams was born on the bathroom floor, with delivery help from Transformative Healthcare practitioners.
