Brookline GreenSpace Alliance Donates Trees to Denny Health Center
The gift comes in light of recommendations in the newly approved Brookline Urban Forest Climate Resiliency Master Plan.
BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline GreenSpace Alliance has gifted to the Park & Open Space Division a tree planting at the Denny Health Center.
The gift comes in light of recommendations in the newly approved Brookline Urban Forest Climate Resiliency Master Plan, which include growing, protecting, and managing the town’s Urban Forest. The plan specifically cites the Denny Health Center as needing increased planting.
"This location where land is under public control we are able to make an immediate contribution in a dense part of Town,” said Brookline GreenSpace Alliance in a news release. "In this way we will be contributing to The Action Plan goal of growing the urban forest which highlights the ecological, human health, and resilience benefits of trees.”
