Brookline High Named a "Top 100 Public High School" By Newsweek

Brookline was one of six public high schools in Massachusetts to rank among the top 100.

BROOKLINE, MA – Just in time for the start of the school year, Newsweek released its annual list Thursday of the top public high schools in America in 2016, and Brookline High School has landed on the list.

Brookline High cracked the top 100, ranking 99th in the nation and sixth in Massachusetts. BHS was ranked just behind Boston Latin School, Westford Academy, Weston High School, Lexington High School and Wesborough High School.

According to Newsweek, 82.9 percent of BHS students are college ready, and 90.2 percent of students are college bound. The school also boasts a 96.6 percent graduation rate, according to the publication.

The school rankings are borne of legitimate research. Newsweek, along with the analytics firm Westat, uses verified and objective measurements to put together its annual ranking of the country’s best high schools.
