BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Hills T station on the Green Line D Branch is set to reopen Saturday, Jan. 8 after being closed for nine months.

The station, which has been closed since April 5, 2021, now has design and accessibility improvements, including raised platforms for easy boarding, accessible crosswalks and pedestrian pathways, new canopies, seating, lighting, and wayfinding, and a pickup and drop-off location for The RIDE.

The work is part of the $205.6 million Brookline High School expansion project. The plans for the project put the school over the MBTA tracks and, as part of the deal that allowed the town to use the MBTA’s air rights, the T asked the town to help update the platform.
