Brookline Hones In On Next Superintendent

The School Committee voted 6-1 in favor of Lincoln School Principal Andrew Bott.

BROOKLINE, MA - The Brookline School Committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of naming Andrew Bott the next superintendent of schools.

The committee made the decision March 3 in a 6-1 vote with two abstentions, according to Wicked Local Brookline.

Bott is currently the principal of Lincoln School; this will be his first job as superintendent if nominated. According to Wicked Local, his resumé boasts four principal positions, one assistant principal appointment and classroom teaching experience.

The School Committee made its decision based on references from previous employers and stakeholder feedback, Wicked Local said.

A final vote will be held on March 10, pending successful contact negotiations.
