Brookline To Host Martin Luther King Celebration At Coolidge Corner Theatre

The event will commemorate the 60th anniversary of Dr. King's receiving of the 1964 Nobel Prize for Peace.

BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline will host a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. to honor the 60th anniversary of his receiving the 1964 Nobel Prize For Peace at the Coolidge Corner Theatre.

The event will be held on Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. and will include a video of his Nobel Prize acceptance speech, a performance of "Different Ships, Same Boats" from Regie Gibson and the Guy Mendilow Ensemble, reflections from Boston University Professor of Religion Margarita Guillory and a reading from Brookline poet laureate Jennifer Barber.

The event is free to attend, but tickets must be reserved in advance. Tickets can be reserved here.
