BROOKLINE, MA — All Brookline Public Libraries will reopen to the public starting Monday, Jan. 31 after a two-week closure due to COVID-19 staffing shortages.

Two weeks ago, the libraries were experiencing daily absenteeism of up to 30 percent due to illness. However, the situation has improved enough for in-person services to resume.

"We're so happy to announce that our staffing situation has improved, and we will be reopening our doors for regular, in-building library services on Monday, January 31,” said the library in an announcement Tuesday. "We can't wait to see you all again!"
