Brookline Man Accused Of Armed Robbery

BROOKLINE, MA — A Brookline man was arrested Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery that took place last month, said Boston police.

Investigators said Joscard Lucas, 22, was taken into custody in the area of 17 Warwick Road in Brookline during the execution of a search warrant out of Dorchester District Court.

On Sunday, March 27 around 10:15 a.m., officers responded to the area of 815 Morton Street for an armed robbery report. After further investigation, detectives were able to locate surveillance footage from the area and identified the suspect as Lucas.

As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered a 9mm firearm with an extended magazine capable of holding thirty rounds of ammunition.

Lucas is facing charges including Armed Robbery/Masked, Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
