Brookline Man Fights Off Carjacker
Christopher Cavino, 36, with no fixed address, was arrested Sunday and charged with carjacking.

A Brookline man fended off a carjacker over the weekend, according to police.
The alleged carjacker, Christopher Cavino, 36, with no fixed address, was arrested Sunday.
According to a police report, Cavino targeted a man who had just pulled in his driveway on Dean Road at about 3:30 p.m. His wife was in the passenger seat. When the man got out of the car, he said Cavino grabbed him and demanded the car keys. A scuffle ensued and the man said he told Cavino he wasn’t going to give up his keys. Cavino fled, according to the report.

Police arrested Cavino a short distance away. Police said he appearing to be under the influence of something. He was charged with carjacking and attempted breaking and entering.
