UPDATED: Brookline Man Uninjured in Fatal Crash on I-93 South

The crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Friday.

Massachusetts State Police have identified the deceased as 23-year-old Kenneth McGregor of North Reading.

A Brookline man was involved in a three-car crash on I-93 South early Friday morning that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man, according to Massachusetts State Police.

According to police, shortly before 1 a.m., the 23-year-old man, driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, rear-ended 26-year-old Connor Weed of Malden, driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla, near exit 41, the Route 125 exit in Andover. Weed was not injured in the collision.

Following the initial crash, the 23-year-old man’s Impala became disabled in the right travel lane and was subsequently struck by a 2014 Lexus IS250, driven by 24-year-old Justin Wong of Brookline, who also was not injured.

The 23-year-old man, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by State Police.
