Brookline police on Thursday charged a motorist with texting while driving.
Police said an officer was monitoring traffic on Beacon Street near Pleasant Street when he saw a driver texting. The officer stopped the vehicle and discovered the driver’s license was suspended.
The driver was placed under arrest and given a citation for texting while driving.
