Brookline Police Charge Man with Illegal Use of Handicap Placard

The following are excerpts from the Brookline police log.

Brookline police said a fugitive with a suspended license was driving around town with an illegal handicap placard.

Michael McCormack, 50, of Watertown, was arrested Friday.

According to a police report, McCormack was driving a light-colored sedan at about midnight and made an illegal left turn on Harvard Street. An officer pulled him over and found a handicap placard. McCormack allegedly told the officer he didn’t know who it belonged to.

A records search indicated McCormack’s license was suspended and he had a warrant out for leaving the scene of a crash, among other charges.

He was charged with operating after suspension, improper use of a handicap placard, and a turn violation.
