Brookline Police Looking To Identify Possible Shoplifter

BROOKLINE, MA — The police department is looking to identify a person it believes was involved in a shoplifting incident that occurred at a business on Commonwealth Avenue last month.

The person was captured on surveillance footage on Friday, July 24, the day of the reported incident. According to police, he is a man who was last wearing black shorts, a green t-shirt, dark Nike sneakers, and a black backpack. He also had tattoos on both forearms. The man was seen shortly before 10 p.m.

Community members with relevant information are being asked to contact detectives at 617-730-2711. The department emphasized that he is not considered wanted at this time. The exact location where the incident took place has not been revealed.
