Brookline Schools Start Thursday

Here's when Brookline students will head back to school, and some other helpful back-to-school tips for parents.

BROOKLINE, MA – Sorry, students - it's about that time of year again.

Brookline 1st through 9th graders are due back in school Thurs., Sep. 1; students in grades 10 through 12 will report to classes the following day.

But there is good news - the first days of school are capped by a three-day weekend, as students have Mon., Sep. 5 off for Labor Day.

This school year ushers in a brand new administration, helmed by Superintendent Andrew Bott and deputy superintendents Nicole Gittens and Samuel Zimmerman.

If the first day of school seems like it snuck up on you, you're not alone. According to CNN, many schools nationwide start before the end of August, and some even in July.
