Brookline Selects Ninth School Site

The School Committee and Board of Selectmen came to an agreement Thursday night, ending a year-long selection process.

BROOKLINE, MA – The Brookline Board of Selectmen and School Committee voted Thursday night to name a 2.6-acre section of land off of Heath Street the location for the town's newest school.

The "Baldwin site" currently houses the Baldwin school, which is used for auxiliary high school programs and child care. It will be Brookline's ninth public school, which officials deemed necessary given growing enrollment rates.

Two other sites were under consideration - the Baker School site and the Village (Stop & Shop) site.
