Brookline Voter Guide: The Who, What, Where, Why For May 2 Elections

A one stop shop for all your May 2 Brookline voter needs.

BROOKLINE - On May 2 the entire town is invited to perform their civic municipal duty and choose the people who more or less run this town. The top three races are contested this year, and the elections come at time when there have been a number of charges from the community that elected leaders in town government aren't doing enough.

Up for election are two seats at the Board of Selectmen, the executive branch of town government; three seats for School Committee, who approve budget items from the School District, and the Library of Trustees board members. In addition each precinct has a seat for a Town Meeting member - or the legislative branch of government- up for election.

Click here for info on the three candidates running for the Board of Selectmen on May 2. And here's a handy election guide patch put together for referencing (yes there is absentee voting).
