Brookline's Pantry Shuts Its Doors

The Washington Square food shop quietly signed off in a Facebook post Saturday.

BROOKLINE, MA – From recipe kits, to cooking tools, to beer and wine, the aptly-named Pantry offered an amalgamation of culinary goodies.

Unfortunately, the food shop quietly closed Saturday, firmly declaring in a Facebook post, "the last recipe has been sold and the last knife skills class has been taught."

The closure was first noticed Tuesday by Boston Restaurant Talk. Pantry opened last year at 1622 Beacon St. in the heart of Brookline's Washington Square, selling enough recipe kits, ingredients, herbs, spices and cooking utensils to make any budding chef swoon.
