Car Crashes Into Anna's Taqueria in Brookline

It's business as usual at the JFK Crossing Anna's Taqueria just hours after a car crashed into the main window of the restaurant.

BROOKLINE, MA — Anna's Taqueria opened for business as usual after a car crashed into the restaurant just after 4 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 in JFK Crossing.

"We are so grateful no one was injured during this morning's incident. We'd like to give thanks to first responders and everyone else involved in the cleanup process," tweeted the folks at Anna's on Harvard Street.

The owner of the property called Boston Board Up, a company that specializes in emergency building repair and they were on the scene and had cleaned up the debris so that the restaurant was ready to go the next morning.

The driver told police that as he was driving down Harvard toward Thorndike a car drove through a stop sign. As an attempt to avoid it, the driver swerved and crashed right into the restaurant. Both the driver's car and the business sustained significant damage.

Police said they had closed circuit footage of the crash and it seemed to corroborate what the man said.
