Police say the 22-pound corgi mix was found around 10 p.m. at a construction site on Colchester Street

BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline police are investigating after a dog was found taped inside a box in a Porta Potty in Brookline Thursday night, said MSPCA-Angell.

Police say the 22-pound corgi mix was found around 10 p.m. at a construction site on Colchester Street. The dog, believed to be about five years old, was trapped inside an O-Cedar EasyWring mop and bucket box and did not have a collar or any form of identification.

Officers brought the god to Angell Animal Medical Center, where she was evaluated. She is unharmed and stable, but frightened, and is now resting at the MSPCA’s Jamaica Plain adoption center. She will be held there for seven days before being placed into a new home.
