Tastes of Brookline Poetry

Brookline's Poet Laureate, Judith Steinbergh, will read from her work. Guest poets are Elizabeth McKim and Zvi Sesling.

Judith Steinbergh  has taught poetry to students of all ages throughout eastern Massachusetts since 1971. Judith's poetry books include: Writing My Will and A Living Anytime; her books on teaching poetry include Beyond Words -- Writing Poems with Children (with Elizabeth McKim) and Reading and Writing Poetry with Teenagers (with Fredric Lown). Co-founder of Troubadour: Literacy through Writing and Song.

Elizabeth McKim, poet, spoken word performer, teacher, co-author of Beyond Words, author of five poetry collections, including The Red Thread  (Leapfrog Press). McKim’s roots are in the oral tradition of story, song and poem. She has taught as National Faculty with Lesley University and performs across the US and internationally. 

Zvi A. Sesling is an award winning poet who publishes widely. He edits Muddy River Poetry and reviews for Boston Small Press and Poetry Scene. He is author of a full length poetry book, King of the Jungle (Ibbetson Street Press, 2010) and a poetry chapbook Across Stones of Bad Dreams (Cervena Barva Press, 2011). His full length volume, Fire Tongue, is due from Cervena Barva Press in 2012.
