Korean-American novelist Chang-rae Lee is the author of Native Speaker, A Gesture Life, Aloft, and The Surrendered. His novels have won awards and citations including the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award, the American Book Award, and the Barnes & Noble Discover Award. Lee has also written stories and articles for publications including The New Yorker, the New York Times, Time (Asia), Granta, Condé Nast Traveler, and Food & Wine. He is director of the Program in Creative Writing and a professor of creative writing at Princeton University.
