BROOKLINE, MA — Mission Dispensaries is set to open its third Massachusetts location in Brookline later this month after receiving a final license from the state’s Cannabis Control Commission. Here's what to expect as the town's third marijuana dispensary inches closer to opening day.

Mission Brookline will be located at 1024 Commonwealth Ave. near Boston University and will be open from 10 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. from Monday through Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Sunday. Opening day is expected to be held on a Saturday in August as soon as the company receives a notice that authorizes them to commence operations.

To ensure the safety of staff and customers, the dispensary will have an appointment-only policy on opening day and for the foreseeable future, said Mission representatives in a community meeting last month. Once guests have a consultation with a staff member, both in-store and online ordering will be available.

Mission spokespeople said they will be coordinating with local police and fire departments consistently and police detail will be present throughout opening day and for the first several weeks of operations. The dispensary will also have its own security team present at all times during store hours.

Mission Brookline is located on the Green Line B branch and the MBTA bus route 57. Designated Uber and Lyft drop-off points have also been set up on Winslow Rd. Those who decide to drive will not be allowed to double park and waiting customers are prohibited from forming a line on the sidewalk.

"I really think Brookline is going to become our flagship store very quickly," he continued.
