Large Sum of Money Gone After Alleged Car Break-in, Man's Wallet Found With Money Missing: The Weekend in Crime

Friday, August 5
At 1:30 p.m. police responded to a school on Williston Road for a report of a past larceny. The caller told police he locked his bike to a street sign on August 3 at about 4 p.m. and returned to find it missing August 4 around 9 a.m. A copy of surveillance footage from the area has been requested.

Saturday, August 6
At 4:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to a Lee Street residence for a past breaking and entering. The caller told police she left her house on August 5 at approximately 8 p.m. and returned around 4:10 p.m. the next day to find her storage shed pried open. She said nothing of value was taken from the shed.

Sunday, August 7
A theft was reported at 2:20 p.m. at a gym on Commonwealth Avenue. The caller reported placing his wallet unsecured in a locker in the men's bathroom. After working out, he noticed his wallet was missing. A short time later, another individual at the gym found the wallet in the rear of the parking garage; the man reported that it was missing a small sum of money.
A Brookline resident reported a past larceny of his car. He said he parked the vehicle on Lawton Street and returned three days later to find that someone had broken into his car. The resident reported a large sum of money missing from the vehicle.
