Celebrating over 90 years of excellence in fashion education, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. BROOKLINE, MA – A man was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a tree limb in Brookline.  Boston Police said the incident was reported at 1160 Commonwealth Ave., near the border of Brookline and Boston, around 2:45 p.m.  The man, who multiple news outlets identified as a 29-year-old employee of Herb Chambers BMW, was rushed to the hospital.  Boston Police had no further information about the victim's condition.   Image via Shutterstock

Boston Police said the incident was reported at 1160 Commonwealth Ave., near the border of Brookline and Boston, around 2:45 p.m.  The man, who multiple news outlets identified as a 29-year-old employee of Herb Chambers BMW, was rushed to the hospital.
