Penn Jillette to Appear at Brookline Booksmith

BROOKLINE, MA – Penn Jillette has spent decades wowing audiences as the loquacious half of iconic magic duo Penn & Teller.

Now, he's taking readers on a journey of self-discovery in "Presto! How I Made Over 100 Pounds Disappear and Other Magical Tales."

As Jillette neared his 60th birthday, he was weighing in at close to 330 pounds and knew he needed a change. He sought the help of "Crazy Ray" Cronise, a former NASA scientist and innovator who introduced Jillette to the "potato diet." Along the way, Jillette not only transformed his body but also opened his mind.

Jillette will read excerpts from his new book at Brookline Booksmith next Friday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m.
