After taking the girl’s shoes, the suspects got back into their vehicle and fled town Davis Avenue toward Greenough Street, said police.

"I am gravely concerned about this incident, particularly for the student who experienced the seemingly random act of violence and theft,”said Brookline High School Head of School Anthony Meyer in a message to the school community. "Brookline High School staff will continue to share information, communicate and collaborate with BPD, and provide adult presence and supervision outside.”

"BHS is historically a very safe high school that welcomes thousands of students who feel safe and at home,” he continued. "Events such as this undermine that sense of safety and we will work very hard to restore that and ensure every member of the BHS community feels safe while at school as well as coming to and leaving our campus."

Police said the suspects’ vehicle was described as a small red or maroon colored SUV and the suspects were described as four young males, all wearing black or grey hoodies and Timberland boots.

Neighbors and residents of Greenough Street or Davis Avenue who have security cameras are asked to check for footage that may have captured the attack. Anyone with information should call Brookline police at 617-730-2222 if you saw something.
