Teens: What Music is on Your iPod?

We asked 10 students from Brookline High School what they're listening to, and the results may even surprise adults.

Parents just don't understand. The Fresh Prince said it, all right.

Parents may often assume that modern day teens just listen to noise on their new-fangled MP3 devices, but Brookline Patch went straight to the source, Brookline High School, to find out that students are actually listening to.

Top 40 and rap are of course, still popular with adolescent ears, but they're also surprisingly open to world music from as far away as China, classic rock that dates back to early U2 and hip hop founders of the 1980s such as TuPac and Nas.
