Touching The Untouchable: How One Woman Changes The World

What: Pine Manor College will host guest speaker, Bishnu Pariyar, founder of Empower Dalit Women of Nepal and alumna of Pine Manor College, for a discussion of women’s rights in Nepal. Bishnu has devoted her life to helping empower women and fighting for women’s rights in the US and Nepal. She created the organization, Empower Dalit Women of Nepal, which educates thousands of women in Nepali villages and directly confronts gender and caste discrimination.

The event will feature a presentation by Bishnu Pariyar and a screening of the short documentary, Untouchable. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit the Pine Manor College website.
