Tuesday: Joint Board Meeting on 9th School Site Selection

BROOKLINE, MA – The Brookline Board of Selectmen and School Committee will hold an open meeting tomorrow night to discuss made in selecting a site for a ninth school.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Selectmen's Hearing Room on the sixth floor of Town Hall. It will include a progress update from architectural firm Jonathan Levi Architects on the study conducted during the spring and summer.

Last year, the search for a site to build a new elementary school was approved. According to the Brookline town website, construction of a new school was the preferred solution to addressing enrollment growth in elementary grades in Brookline. At the time, Cottage Farm and the Isabel School were named the preferred sites for the study.

Since then, the Baldwin School, Baker School and the Putterham Meadows Golf Course have been included for consideration.
