VOAMASS To Operate MassHire Metro South/West Career Centers
As operator of these career centers, VOAMASS will help build the workforce in 43 Massachusetts cities and towns.
BROOKLINE, MA — Volunteers of America of Massachusetts (VOAMASS) has been selected by the state as the operator of MassHire Metro South/West Workforce Board’s two “One-Stop Career Centers.”
As operator of these career centers, VOAMAS will support the local workforce system by facilitating communication and coordinating its federally funded training partners.
“Our organization has a long history of offering workforce development for at-risk communities, and we’re looking forward to leveraging that expertise to help job seekers and employers in all 43 cities and towns in the Metro South/West development area,” said Charles Gagnon, President and CEO of VOAMASS, in a statement.

“By strengthening partnerships, supporting providers, and bolstering diversity and inclusion efforts, it’s our hope that we can help more of our friends and neighbors get back to work, especially after a difficult 16 months dealing with COVID-19 economic disruption," he continued.
The Metro South/West development area stretches from Brookline west to Marlborough and from Littleton south to Plainville. Career center services include job search assistance, career planning networking, programs for youths, people with disabilities, and veterans, job posting, pre-screening, and employee training services for employers.
