Where To Watch The Big Game In Brookline
Football's biggest game features New England's local team this year.
BROOKLINE, MA — The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will meet Sunday, Feb. 8, in a rematch of one of the greatest NFL championship games in history. It’s not too early to scout the best places to watch the big game here near Brookline.
The battle for the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy takes place this year at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. In their last big game meeting in 2015, the Patriots secured a 28-24 comeback victory over the Seahawks. The epic contest was decided in the final seconds when a Patriots interception of a Seahawks pass resulted in a game-winning touchdown.
If you want someone else to make the snacks or serve the beer, several sports bars near Brookline are primed for the handoff. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. ET, but you’ll want to get there early to make sure you get a spot.

Banners Kitchen and Tap — This sports bar adjacent to the TD Garden on Causeway Street in Boston is named after the many championship banners hanging in the rafters nearby. The establishment prides itself on its amount of flatscreens that are visible from virtually anywhere in the restaurant. It is open until 11 p.m. seven days of the week.
Parlor Sports — This humble Somerville spot on Beacon Street welcomes all sports fans to pack in for the big game. It is open until midnight each night.
Buff’s Pub — Famous for its chicken wings, Buff’s Pub is decked out with the Boston sports theme and has multiple television screens to watch the culmination of the NFL season on. Located near Newton Corner on 317 Washington St., Buff’s is open until 11 p.m. seven days per week.
Great American Beer Hall — The hall at 142 Mystic Ave. has enough space and screens for a great viewing experience. The multiple bars offer more than just beer along with a self-service menu of American classics.
Luxury Boxx Sports Bar — This Malden bar located on 665 Broadway is open until 2 a.m. on Sundays, and its walls are lined with televisions throughout.
Rising Eagle Publick House — This American restaurant and bar located right in downtown Melrose at 505 Main St. is hosting a watch party for the big game with a tailgate menu and five large televisions to enjoy it on.
Hannah’s Brew Co. — This taproom and bar also located in Melrose Center at 364 Main St. has variety of craft beers including stouts and IPAs.
