Woman Calls Police About 'Indecent Incident': Brookline Police

A man gets arrested for attempting to break into cars and a woman chases down a man who was allegedly performing an indecent act on Beacon.

BROOKLINE, MA — The following three people were arrested this week in Brookline. Arrests do not imply convictions. And yes, everyone is considered innocent until proven in a court of law.

Friday, Nov. 3.

Woman confronts man on street: Johan Saza-Castrillion, 19, of East Boston was arrested at 11:36 a.m. near the corner of Beacon and Washington Street in Washington Square for open and gross conduct.

A woman called police on Nov. 3 to report there was a man masturbating on the sidewalk in Washington Square. She told police that she confronted the man. He told her he was sorry and then started to walk away. So she chased him as he ran up Beacon Street and took a right onto Washington street and then went behind Stoked Pizza and the buildings near the Driscoll School Playground.

She described him as a Hispanic man wearing a white shirt, white pants and a black baseball hat. Police went into one of the back business entryways and up the stairs and found a man matching the description the caller gave standing near a restroom there. The man told them he didn't speak English. A translator came in, and the woman positively identified the man later. Saza-Castrillion was placed under arrest for Open and Gross.

Saturday, Nov. 4

Attempted car break ins: Ronan Casey, 27, of Brookline was arrested at 2:02 a.m. and charged with attempted breaking into cars on Russett Road after a caller reported seeing him on Russett Road walking into driveways looking into cars and trying to open doors as he walked toward Beverly Road.

Monday, Nov. 6

She said no: Marcus Wortham, 28, of East Hartford, CT, was arrested on Pine Manor campus after breaking a no trespass order given to him earlier that day. He was arrested and booked at 3:13 a.m.
