Woman with Theft Warrants Caught Driving Around Brookline with Crack, Pot, Police Say

Brookline police last week said a Belmont woman who had several warrants was driving around town with marijuana and crack cocaine in her vehicle.

Darlene Shea, 49, of Belmont, was arrested Friday.

Police said she driving a GMC sport utility vehicle on Harvard Street when officers pulled her over because her registration was revoked. A records check indicated she had warrants for larceny and writing false checks. She was placed under arrest.

Police said she had marijuana tucked in the waistband of her pants and crack cocaine in her purse. She was charged accordingly.
