Man Charged In 2 Jewelry Store Break-Ins, Burlington Police Say

BURLINGTON, MA — A man was arrested in connection with two jewelry store break-ins in Burlington, according to police.

Christopher Larkin, 28, of Dracut, was charged in the case.

Police were dispatched to a local jewelry store at 266 Cambridge St. for an activated burglary alarm Thursday at 12:37 a.m.

While responding to the call, police received a separate report of a motion alarm activated at another jewelry store at 189 Cambridge St.

Police arrived at the store and found a man, later identified as Larkin, attempting to flee on a dirt bike.

Police said they identified Larkin as the suspect in both break-ins following an investigation.

Larkin also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, according to police.

Police said they searched Larkin and found a backpack containing over $20,000 worth of jewelry.

He was charged with breaking and entering during the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, malicious destruction of property over $1,200, larceny of over $1,200 and possession of a burglarious instrument.

Larkin was scheduled to be arraigned in Woburn District Court on Thursday.
