BURLINGTON, MA — A new entertainment venue featuring interactive games that combine physical activity, strategy and teamwork is opening in Burlington next month.
Activate will open Nov. 7 at 90 Middlesex Turnpike, becoming the company's second location in the Greater Boston area.
The 10,923-square-foot facility will feature 12 game rooms offering more than 55 game variations. Players will jump, dodge, solve puzzles and compete in challenges designed to test their agility, problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Games include Hoops, Laser, Mega Grid, Hide and Press. The activities combine physical movement with technology-based challenges and are designed for players of varying skill levels.
"After seeing the South Bay community embrace Activate, we're excited to bring a second location to the greater Boston area," Jason Thompson, chief operating officer of Activate America said in a statement.
The Nov. 7 grand opening will feature a ribbon cutting, mini competitions and a live DJ.
The first 50 guests in line when doors open will receive half-priced priority gameplay without reservations, along with other promotional perks.
Founded in Winnipeg, Canada, Activate operates more than 75 locations worldwide, including more than 40 in the United States.
