Cambridge Police Looking To Identify Person Possibly Involved In Hit And Run

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The police department is looking to identify an individual in connection with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a 9-year-old.

The individual was captured in a photo released by the department as part of its investigation into the crash, which occurred on Vassar Street. Police said the person was operating an electric scooter when they allegedly struck the child before fleeing the scene. The individual is described as a man with a "man bun" hairstyle. He was seen wearing a teal T-shirt and black shorts, and he appears to have a face tattoo.

Community members with relevant information are being asked to contact the Cambridge Police Traffic Unit at 617-349-3300. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through the Cambridge Police Department's website.
