The business is opened in Cambridgeport late last month.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A new donut shop has opened in the Cambridgeport neighborhood.

Greedy Cow Donut Factory opened at 114 Magazine St. on Friday, July 31, offering a selection of handmade donuts, including gluten-free and vegan options. The shop is owned by Paul Rungta, a local restaurateur who also owns Brooklyn Bagel Factory in Inman Square and previously operated Surya Indian Kitchen out of the Magazine Street location.

According to the company, Greedy Cow makes its donuts from scratch daily, using naturally proofed dough that is hand-cut and fried before being finished with house-made glazes, fillings, and toppings. Six gluten-free donut varieties are offered each day, alongside vegan options.

The shop also plans to rotate flavors and experiment with new creations. Recent offerings have included donuts topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries, while white chocolate and pineapple are among the flavors being considered for future additions.

Beyond donuts, Greedy Cow serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches alongside freshly brewed coffee, espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, iced beverages, and seasonal specialties. The business also offers catering for meetings, celebrations, and other gatherings, with donut packages, breakfast options, sandwich platters, and coffee service available.

Greedy Cow is part of a family of locally owned restaurants that includes Brooklyn Bagel Factory, Manhattan Bagel and Coffee Co., and NY Bagel and Diner.
