One victim, a Cambridge DoorDash driver returning home, and another, an MBTA bus driver, were both seriously injured but later released from the hospital, while Brown remains in custody as the case proceeds.
2. Wada Hoppah launches shallow-draft electric ferry service on Charles River (workboat.com) — A new battery-electric ferry is now running on the Charles River between Boston and Cambridge, offering a quiet, low-wake way to cross the river and connect waterfront neighborhoods. Built in nearby Concord, the 36-foot vessel carries up to 15 passengers and is designed for the river's shallow stretches and low bridges. The company plans to expand dock access and eventually add a larger, 50-passenger boat.
3. Hand recount underway in close Mass. State Senate primary (wcvb.com) — Cambridge voters are at the center of a razor-thin Democratic State Senate primary recount between incumbent Will Brownsberger and challenger Daniel Lander in the Suffolk and Middlesex district. Ballots are being hand-counted, with Boston's underway and Cambridge's recount scheduled for Thursday. The outcome will help gauge Mayor Michelle Wu's political influence after she backed Lander against the longtime senator.
4.
