Boston Village (formerly Beacon Hill Village) which has been redefining aging in downtown Boston for over two decades, has announced the second speaker in a series as part of its 25th anniversary.

Advances in medicine and public health have culminated in people rightly expecting to have a long life. And yet, we almost universally don't want to "get old." Here in the US, being "old" is associated with decline in function, abilities, connection, independence and, ultimately, with loss of relevance and worth.
